Relying on the Moon

HELLO FROM LESLEY
"Time is different here." These four words may not seem like much, but they meant the world to me. My Mom died in October of 2005. Three months later while walking across a pedestrian bridge from Emory's parking deck to the hospital, on a December-dark evening, I heard my Mother's voice say these words to me, "Time is different here." And in hearing these words I felt a peace that both quieted and uplifted my grieving spirit. In there words, I knew that she was home. In these words, I was given a glimpse of heaven ~ a place not as rushed, not as chaotic. In these words, I was invited into a new perspective of worrying less about things, and leaning more toward the love that holds us all.

I've heard it said that turtles hold all of time on their backs ~ each of the blocks symbolizing the lunar calendar. This is a great picture that friend Susie Gentry took of Terry, our turtle. This picture reminds me that there is inspiration all around us ~ it's up to us to listen and keep watching. It's up to us to stay connected.

    Angels are all around us.
This is a treasured picture of my friend Gay-Baby who companions me still. You can        tell by that look on her face that she is one who is here for the ages. Her spirit has always been bigger than life.
Another angel is my sister, Claudia who has given me this website, "play around with it," she told me. "Keep writing."
Angels remind us to hope again, to laugh often and to believe that the best is here, right here in the midst of us...we just gotta believe (again and again).
